Trolleys and Trolleybarn

ImageCTRC has restored and placed back into operation a number of historic trolley cars including a horse drawn street car.

CTRC and the History Museum of San Jose own a number of antique vehicles which have been restored and are on exhibit at the Trolley Barn.

Photos of the trolleys and vehicles may be seen in our gallery.

The trolley barn is located on the grounds of the San Jose Historical Museum, 1600 Senter Road, San Jose, California.  All historic vehicles have been or are being restored at this facility.  The trolley barn is open Thursday through Monday from 9:00AM to 4:00PM.

Stop in and see the horse drawn street car, trolley cars, antique vehicles and railroad inspection car.  Let the volunteers show you around.

Trolleys operate on Saturday and Sunday afternoons on the tracks within the museum grounds.  They also operate for special events held by the museum and for educational programs for school children.  Operation of the trolleys for large groups can be arranged by calling the History Museums of San Jose on (408)287-2290.
